About the Theme:
DEVOTION: This exhibition is about the idea of art as an act of devotion
and looking at art can help create a sense of devotion in the viewer.
The theme is open to interpretation, but some ways devotion can be
shown in art is through a process that is repetitive or meditative,
through devotion to complicated, arduous process, ruthless
self-examination or devotion to creating a feeling of peace and
spiritual balance.
Entry Requirements for this Exhibition:
For this
exhibition all media will be considered. Art for this exhibition must
not be larger than 48” in any dimension. If art weighs more than 50 lbs
please specify.
Selection Process:
Art will be reviewed by Gallery Owners: Liz Afif-Fisher and James
Fisher. Artists will be notified if they have been accepted on or by Monday, August 26, 2013
People’s Choice Award: The People’s Choice Award will be chosen by attendees at the opening reception by secret ballot.
Entry Fee: $35 for 1 – 4 entries ($5 each additional entry) email entries will be billed by paypal or may be paid for onlizafifgallery.com on
the Devotion page. Postal and Hand Delivered entries may be paid for
by check or paypal if specified. Please make checks payable to LIZ
AFIF.
Submission
Format: Art will be juried by jpgs. Each image must be no larger than 5
MB. The recommended size is 10” in the longest dimension 300dpi.
Minimum file size is 500kb. Please save your jpgs as your name (first
and last) followed by the entry number. For example:
“sandrobotticelli1.jpg”
Please use “Devotion” and your last name as the subject of your email. For example: “Devotion Botticelli”

For mailed and hand delivered entries you may use a CD/DVD or color photographs
Drop off of Accepted work: Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 12 – 5pm
Shipping: Art must be received by September 3, 2013. Prepaid return shipping label must be provided.
Pick up of unsold work: Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 12 – 5pm.

Application fee to Devotion will be applied to future dues if you are accepted as a member of Square Inch.
Juried show fee waived for all Juried shows during length of membership.
