March/Early April Classes!

MARCH/EARLY APRIL WORKSHOP SCHEDULE


Sphere's on Fire
  
This one-day intensive project-based workshop takes students through the races of creating a decorative spherical oil lamp. We will use the oxy-acetylene torch to cut designs into a hollow stainless steel sphere, and then embed an oil lamp inside to create a beautiful and functional art piece. No previous experience necessary.

Wed, March 27th, 6-9pm - $100 (+ $25 Materials Fee)



Animal Sculpture NEW

Students will sculpt a small animal from life using clay. No previous experience necessary.

Thursday, March 28th, 6-9pm - $50


Sculptural Metalworking Workshop NEW

This one-day intensive workshop is an introduction to metalworking and welding, and is
focused on creative exploration through steel. Students will learn MIG
welding, grinding & polishing, and other techniques while collaboratively creating a
sculptural work that will adorn PSG upon its completion. No prerequisites.

Saturday, March 30th, 10am-5pm - $125



Aluminum Casting

This one day workshop is an introduction to Aluminum Casting. Student will create 2 part greensand molds and cast pieces in aluminum. No previous experience necessary.

Sat, March 30th, 10am-5pm - $75


Build Your Own Bicycle Frame NEW

Students will leave the class having built their own bicycle frame, fitted specifically for them (or for the person of their choice) from steel tubing. Students will learn about fabricating structures made of thin wall tubing, and about brazing techniques.

Monday, April 1st through Friday April 5th, 4pm-10pm - $450 (+ $250 Materials Fee)



Oxy-Acetylene Welding

This one-on-one workshop is designed to introduce students to the basic process of gas welding. No previous experience necessary.

$30 for 1 hour long One-on-One Session by appointment
