And we're back! Happy New Year!!!

We're back after a short (unplanned) holiday break! Hope you all had a great end to 2011 and started off 2012 with a bang!

A few updates and reminders:

1) Reminder: THIS SATURDAY!!! Justin and I are conducting a moldmaking workshop at NextFab Studio this Saturday, January 7th from 1-5pm.

The focus of the workshop will cover a brief history of the concept, while discussing the wide diversity of materials used and effects that can be created and reproduced through mold making and casting. A power point presentation and lecture with examples ranging from very simple “zero experience needed..” examples, through highly complicated industrial applications. Demonstrations of plaster molds derived from simple and complex forms used for single, and multiple castings; abridged demonstrations on flexible rubber molds made from more detailed models for use with a larger range of casting medias and higher levels of production. Additionally an overview of nomenclature, process hierarchy, and resources will be covered throughout the workshop.

To register, visit the Eventbrite page. Hope to see you there!

2) Update: New Blogger! Starting this week, Justin will start writing for the blog (Hell just froze over.) Not sure what his exact plans are but I see alot more tips, tricks, how to's and thoughts on safety in this blog's future.

3) Check back tomorrow for info on a giveaway!

Here's to an amazing 2012!
