We have a winner!

After sketching sketching sketching this is the logo we decided on...!! It represents all the aspects of sculpture that we hope to accommodate:
Saw blade/chisel - Woodworking
Cutting torch/Crucible - Metal working/Casting
Carving mallet - Carving
Calipers - Modeling
Mold - Moldmaking/Casting

I think Justin did a great job and missed his calling as a graphic designer...!

It begins...

So we've submitted the proposal and are waiting to hear back...in the meantime we thought we'd go ahead and start on the logo design...you know, just in case. Just like we got the blog, web address, Facebook page and Twitter page for Philadelphia Sculpture Gym...just in case. (I mentioned to my close friend that it was during a moment of extreme optimism that I got them, which of course has given way to moments filled with nervousness and panic. ) Above are some of Justin's sketches for possible logos...
