"Early Bird" Grant

You know how you always sweat out applications until the last minute? Well don't. If you SUBMIT A PROJECT to FIGMENT Phila before August 6, you'll automatically be eligible to win one of three $100 grants.  All because you're on top of your stuff.

FIGMENT catalyzes and celebrates an abundance of creativity and passion, challenging artists and our communities to find new ways to create, share, think, and dream. FIGMENT’s free annual participatory arts event began in New York City in 2007 and has expanded to include events in nine cities around the world. In New York, FIGMENT hosts an annual summer-long exhibition on Governors Island that includes an interactive sculpture garden, an artist-designed minigolf course, a treehouse, and an architectural pavilion co-presented with ENYA and SEAoNY.

FIGMENT is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization entirely funded by grants and individual donations. FIGMENT accepts no corporate sponsorship of any kind. FIGMENT NYC is supported by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council, as well as by the Fund for Creative Communities, supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. FIGMENT Boston is produced with support from the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, the designated stewards of the Rose Kennedy Greenway and site of FIGMENT Boston. FIGMENT Jackson is produced with support from the Greater Jackson Arts Council.   FIGMENT Geelong is produced in partnership with Diversitat, our local auspice agency, and is supported by City of Greater Geelong through its Community Festivals Grant Program.

To Apply: Philadelphia Public Art Program Artist Registry

Hey guys. Just thought that while we were talking about Public Art, this might be of interest!!!

Philadelphia Public Art Program Artist Registry Philadelphia's Public Art Program invites artists to submit an application with the Public Art Artist Registry. The registry allows artists to participate in all selection processes by maintaining a record of their work that will be consulted by Public Art staff, panelists, architects, and City agencies as public art opportunities become available. The registry is open to all professional artists. There are no residency requirements for the registry, although some opportunities will be limited to artists living in the greater Philadelphia region. Artists now have the option to apply or update their application online. Applying online only takes a few minutes, and you'll receive an email confirmation upon successful completion of the application process. Of course, you may still print the application form and submit your materials by mail if you prefer. Please note: applications are kept on file for two years from their submission date. If you are already in our artist registry, please do not reapply unless you need to update your images. FIGMENT Phila is a FREE day-long collaborative art event in West Philadelphia's Clark Park! Share your participatory artwork, volunteer to help, or bring your friends and family to interact with the projects at this inaugural celebration of public art and community.

Submit a Project!

FIGMENT is a reflection of the creative spirit of the community, and it's a great forum to showcase your interactive or participatory artwork.  We'd love you to bring yours to FIGMENT!

Our Call for Participation is open until August 23 - so take a gander, and then put down that goose and submit a project!  Don't wait until the night before the deadline!

We'd love to have ya!  FIGMENT is produced entirely by volunteers, so if you've got the giving spirit here are a few ways you can help make this awesome event happen:

• Volunteer - Fill out our Volunteer Interest Form and tell us your special skills and interests.
