John Moriarty graduated from Hussian School of Art majoring in illustration and design. His influences range from fantasy artists like the Brothers Hildebrandt, Brom and Todd Lockwood, to comic artists Jim Lee and to the visuals in movies and cartoons.
"My dream is to see my always-a-work-in-progress children's book "the Jester's Kingdom", a comedy-fantasy picture book go to print someday. In the meantime, I'll settle with drawing demons and dragons and warriors for a living. Can't argue with that!"- John Moriarty

"Costello accomplishes this feat by shredding silk and hanging it to form text, balancing bold block letters with delicate fibers. These strips drip from the edges of each character to create an authentic-if not richly enhancing-version of the writing on the walls."- Julia West, Philadelphia City Paper
